full life - a foursquare church

prayer team

Jesus noted that "My house shall be a house of prayer..." While God's people (not the temple or the church building) is in truth, God's House, the prominence and priority of prayer in our worship cannot be overstated. Scripture demonstrates that prayer was a huge priority in Jesus ministry and we, at Full Life, see ourselves as part of the continuing ministry of Jesus Christ - so that means prayer is a huge part of our experiencing God together.

We feature corporate times of prayer every time we gather, but there is also a particular calling that some feel toward an additional personal ministry of prayer. These people are called Intercessors. If you feel a calling to Intercessory Prayer Ministry, then you enjoy talking to God on behalf of others, praying for their needs, for their help, and progress in spiritual growth. If that's you, then we'd love to have you join us at one of our Intercessory Prayer meetings. You can see what these gatherings are like, and explore your gifts and callings for this vital ministry that helps pave the way for great things to happen between people and God!

getting involved...
There are two main types of involvement with our Prayer ministry:
  • the small group meetings before church
  • the intercessory team which ministers during our meetings or via the online prayer chain

Small Group Prayer: 8am-8:40am Sundays we meet for prayer at the Warehouse in the "Living Room" (sanctuary) for a time to share various prayer requests and set the stage for the morning's worship meeting. This meeting is open for everyone so join us - it's walk in so come whenever you can - don't fret over the starting time. Come when you can and pray as long as you wish.

10am-meeting's end Sundays, we have intercessors in the loft area upstairs to pray for the Pastor and the congregation all during the message. The focus is in praying for clarity in the presentation of God's Word, for receptiveness on the part of the hearers, and for people's hearts to be open and responsive to the Holy Spirit. These team members also have the responsibility to pray for prayer requests posted online here at our website as well as more private ones that are forwarded through email from our team leaders. This part of the team requires a deeper commitment - If you are interested in being part of this team, email David or Debbie Spry.
