We're part of an ongoing number of outreach opportunities - ways for you to connect your faith to the world beyond the walls of church meetings.
Here's the latest video from our Disaster Relief Team that visited Tuscaloosa Alabama in May 2011.in less than 24 hours we mobilized a team of 10 who worked together to help the victims of one of the worst tornado outbreaks in our nations history.
HOPE Nigeria mission project(from Scott, Amy, and Emily Mahle): "I
invite you to think about how many pairs of shoes you have in your
closet...and think about how your feet would survive walking daily 2
miles for water...barefoot. In Africa. Rain or shine. My family has been blessed with the
opportunity to minister Christ's love in Nigeria in March, 2012. We are
partnering with Samaritan's Feet (www.samaritansfeet.org)
to form a missions team to travel to the village of Idi Ori, Nigeria.
We will be taking much needed shoes, socks, and medical supplies to the
village. While there, our team will also provide health assessments
and education. We are planning a long term relationship with this
village and while there in March, will determine future projects,
including the need establish a fresh water well. We will also minister
in Lagos, Nigeria, a very large, densely populated city. We covet your prayers and support for this trip. You can keep updated on the trip and fundraising events through our FB page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/HopeNigeria/230573186964466).
Very soon we hope to have individual web pages so you can follow our
support efforts! Our team site for online donations is http://www.samaritansfeet.org/hopenigeria/ and is available now. Our team is hoping to raise our first $2,500 by August 1. We are accepting donations of socks,
medical supplies, backpacks, and of course, money. ALL donations
(including supplies) are tax-deductible and a receipt will be issued
through Samaritan's Feet. Just $10 will buy a pair of sturdy, antimicrobial shoes. Can you buy a pair for someone in Nigeria who has none?"
